Certified Biodynamic and OrganicHEIRLOOM. One of the best, extremely hardy, enormous size 9-15x 2-3 in. diameter tender white stalks, medium to dark green fan-shaped leaves, mild flavor, stands winter well, good for home gardens, local market or shipping. This leek was raised by James Hardcastle of Musselburgh, Scotland and introduced in the early 1800’s. Leeks do well in heavier soils with slow releasing compost for the long growing season.
